Kim Larson

Kim Larson is a leader and team player who works directly with clients to develop strategies for their companies to evolve and thrive. Her experience includes launching new brands in diverse industries from technology and healthcare to entertainment. She is passionate about creative communications, ever exploring the leading edge of new technologies, design thinking, and new artistic expressions to engage audiences.

Kim works with clients to define their needs and goals, develop budgets, schedules, and to organize the best way to implement a plan. She has a long history of developing teams of award-winning art directors, designers, photographers, video crews, animators, writers, illustrators and programmers. She provides creative direction, designs, and manages projects through the entire creative process. Engaging experiences for audiences extend across all channels of communication including web sites, social media, traditional and digital advertising to reinforce branding, corporate identity, and to enhance lead generation.

Before founding Larson-Marvine in 1989, Kim was Director of Design for ABC-TV Chicago/WLS-TV. She was responsible for the branding, identity, promotion and ad design for local and nationally syndicated programs including:

Kim is an avid reader, writer, and observer of new ideas in many fields. Combining interests in the arts and science she studied at Knox College, the University of Illinois, and completed her B.S. degree in Biomedical Visualization at the U of I College of Medicine at Chicago. She continued her education at the University of Chicago in Interactive Marketing, modernist and creative nonfiction writing, and many more. She attended the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in Executive Communication.

She is also a proud mother of 3 sons and loves spending time with her family, grandchildren, friends, and her partner in work and life, Paul Marvine.
